The Zinefest in Muelheim (Germany) is simply about presenting the media ‘zine’ with its ways of organisation, distros, genres, zinesters and of course zines. We want to create a space for exchange of ideas and thoughts by inviting a number of various distros, zinesters and interested public from different countries .
Yes! One entire day for meeting people and their ideas/lives. More information will soon be on this page or on ourspace.
The first Zinefest took place in March 8th 2008. Visitors, distros, zinester and artists came together from Great Britain, Netherlands, Poland and Germany to share, feast, chill and eavesdrop some sweet music. One could read, immerse oneself and eat food from the Tofuclub Recklinghausen in comfy corners. Zine-related movies were shown in the ‘mini-cinema’ and in the evening played bands like Cotopaxi, Blockshot, Les Trucs and Bollo. Approach the end, some people came togehter to craft and copy that zine-compilation what was done the day.
